CDL Class A Water Truck Driver

                                     
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Light mechanical work
  • Properly inspect equipment on a daily basis.
  • Pre and post trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Properly complete paper work and logs.
  • Compliance with DOT regulations.
  • May drive Dump Truck on job.
  • May move equipment around on job.
  • Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal proficiency level.
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE use.
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • Required experience:   CDL 1 year
  • Required license or certification: Class A
  • Tanker Endorsement.
 
DOT Hiring Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug/alcohol test.
  • Cannot have refused to submit to a DOT drug/alcohol test in the last 10 years
  • If failed a drug/alcohol test in the last 10 years must have completed a substance abuse program and provide proof.
  • Cannot have received a DUI/DWI or any drug or alcohol related offense in a commercial or personal vehicle in the last 7 years.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50-75 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.  Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events. This position may require long periods of standing and being subjected to adverse weather conditions. Consistently wear common protective or safety equipment such as but not all inclusive safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.

Light Duty Fleet Technician (Ford)

Essential Functions
  • Diagnose and repair truck and trailer maintenance problems as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all equipment, including but not limited to, inspections of all light trucks and trailers.
  • Ensure that all parts and labor are accurately charged to the proper work order in a timely manner.
  • Review and complete repairs as identified on work orders.
  • Install heavy components (starters, clutches, brake drums, etc.)  using hydraulics jacks or hoist.
  • Assist the Tire Man and Class A Techs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance to OSHA standards.
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • At least 2 years of practical experience working on light duty trucks
  • Candidate must have high school/GED with equivalent work experience
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts
  • Diagnostic Experience (Preferred)
  • Must have own tools and tool box
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Must be willing to work any shift as required
  • Mush have Vehicle Inspection certification or have within 60 days of employment

  • Must be able to multi-task, be very organized, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisor responsibility.
 
Travel
Travel may be required from time to time.
 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Stands, works and climbs on vehicles to check oil and water. Occasional heavy lifting required in handling cans and drums of petroleum products. Some bending, reaching and working in awkward positions when performing work in lube pits or under car racks.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.  Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events. This position may require long periods of standing and being subjected to adverse weather conditions. Diesel Technician

 
Essential Functions

·         Current Class A CDL with clean driving record (Preferred)
·         Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen
·         Must be willing to work any shift as required
·         Mush have Air-Brake certification or have within 60 days of employment

CDL Drivers

Requirements:

  • Clean driving record
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • At least 1 year of trucking driving experience (6 months for water truck)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.
  • Valid Medical Card
  • Must possess a professional attitude.
  • Being on time and good attendance is a Must.
  • Hazmat endorsement is a plus
  • Tanker endorsement is a plus

  • Maintain logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
