Logistics Coordinator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare driver scheduling and update as scheduling changes occur.
Dispatch trucks and relay pertinent information to the drivers.
Report violations of company policies to General Manager in a timely manner.
Complete dispatch functions in accordance with company standards and procedures including quality standards and safety regulations.
Work with DOT Compliance Coordinator to certify all drivers are in compliance with DOT regulations.
Audit driver’s daily timesheets to ensure accuracy for payroll.
Update equipment list on a daily basis.
Attendance required according to company policy to ensure operations are at normal proficiency level.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Two years of verifiable experience in transportation/dispatch and/or logistics
Must have working knowledge of driver log, dispatch log
Prefer experience in logistics and scheduling
Extensive knowledge of DOT and Safety guidelines
Must be able to effectively communicate and maintain a positive working relationship with a diverse group of drivers.
Candidate must have high school or GED with equivalent work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word is a plus
Competencies
Ability to efficiently multi-task under pressure.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions, rough uneven surfaces and vibration.
